Birthing and Postpartum Classes with Andrea Denali

These classes support birthing in any setting: at the hospital, home, or birthing center. Each class deeply explores birth, parenting, and beyond through dynamic dialogue and unique hands-on processes. Special bonus sessions are included just for partners, as well as embodied explorations and time for integrating. Space is limited to enhance a comfortable learning environment and allow individual attention.

Birthing From Within® is a holistic framework for expectant parents who are hungry for nourishing and practical birthing preparation in a class series.

Bridge To Breastfeeding and Infant Massage

Bridge To Breastfeeding (Bodyfeeding)

Join us for a unique experience of working through the Bridge to Breastfeeding program to prepare for every element of the postpartum period while establishing breastfeeding.

This is two 3-hour classes (6 hours total), during which we will cover:

  • How birth affects breastfeeding

• Maximizing the benefits of birth choices while minimizing potential negative effects on breastfeeding

• How to prepare mentally and emotionally for the intensity of life with a newborn

• How to prepare and support your body for postpartum and lactation

• How to set up your support network to fit your feeding goals

• How to prepare your home for the transitional phase and juggling new demands

• Everything from product choices to furniture arrangement to distribution of responsibilities

• Overcoming challenges through adaptivity and resilience

You will have the tools and support to create a Vision or “Breastfeeding Plan,” that will facilitate communicating your goals to all your care providers.

IMUSA Infant Massage course with Julie McBurney and Jessica Altemara

Come join us for 5 week infant massage course at the NC Birth Center in Chapel Hill. We will meet for an hour each week to learn:

  • About research supports that infant massage and infant massage parent education programs can increase parent confidence and attachment.

  • Massage strokes & touch relaxation for the whole body.

  • How to choose the best oil for your massage for your baby.

  • How when Infants who experience regular massage often see reduced stress, nervous system improvements and improved self-regulation and body-awareness.

  • Ways to recognize your baby’s cues and behavioral states best for massage.

Our classes…

  • Are always held in small groups to ensure personalized attention. All families are welcome.

  • Are baby led, it’s okay for babies to cry! We are encouraged to listen to your baby and meet their needs.

  • Include time for supportive group discussion where parents can share experiences and learn from each other while having fun. Plus a folder of materials on infant massage.
